After working with Wuhao on their digital marketing last year, I’ve had this soft spot for independent stores that highlight Chinese culture rather than just cover it up or replicate glossy Western counterparts. The gloss makes it all shiny, but to create something precious for China itself, while keeping up with the development of the modern market here, it’s also important to retain some of the tradition. Camouflaged goo-goo eye sunglasses. I really like the layout of the pieces – it just brings out so much more out of the products that if they had just been laid out flat like an army about to attack your purse. To be interpreted literally or metaphorically.

Some captures from the We Bandits Pop-up store this weekend at Nestroyplatz, where designs were simple and artsy, and the whole atmosphere smelt of cheeky creativeness. There was even a dress made of dead grasshoppers. Nom nom. only joking.
