beige and gold

zara sweater top | riding pants courtesy of american apparel | zara bag | gifted necklaces

What I wore to a girl’s night out on Friday. I really can’t be bothered dressing up these days, especially since I’ve been having a bad-skin week. The condition of my skin is directly proportionally to my level of contentment with the world. You can bet I’ll be one of those Asian hoarders buying trolley-fulls of La Mer when I’m older. Do you have any tips for acne, dry skin, or uneven skin tone? Because that would make my sunday. Enjoy yours!

I've got the same problem. I've been very busy and stressed these days an I feel it in my skin :( I use Clinique Anti-Blemish 3 steps, but I don't think it would work if you have dry skin.

    I love your necklaces <3

But your skin looks literally flawless here..?
Scrub your face with anti bacterial face scrub, that's amazing for spots. Dry skin, find an oil free moisturiser, hope that helps a bit xx

dry skin – vaseline or bioderma sensibio night cream, acne – Clean&Clear Persa-Gel 10 (because it contains high amount of benzoyl peroxide which works amazingly against blemishes but should be gentle enough not to cause irritation) and I also believe if you change your pillow case at least every week it helps prevent breakouts, uneven skin tone – hmm, not really sure how to get rid of it but if you use light foundation or tinted moisturizer you can even out the surface of your skin really nicely, hope I helped a bit :)

  10. thanks everyone!

@RHEA – i'm using the 3-step as well! works pretty good. but yeah, i think it's mostly stress that's working up my skin :/

    @Camilla – flash is a brilliant bad-skin washer-outer 😉 thanks for the suggestions! i might try that anti-bacterial scrub.

@Simona – wow, thanks so much! i didn't know about the pillow case thing. and most of the other things you mentioned. i'll definitely test some of those out 😀

  11. Alexandra says:

well, your skin does look perfect , but try using tonic water after you remove your make-up

oh,or you might think of keeping your skin free and clean a couple of days.

Btw, I was thinking of telling you how lovely your make-up is <3

  14. I think it's all in your head, hun. Your skin looks fine! But I really like using Clean and Clear Persa 10 Gel if you have big pimples. As for tinier ones, I'd use the Bare Escentuals Blemish Therapy powder. It's really good! You can use it underneath your make-up or just on it's own, since it's colorless. Hope that helps! :)

I have the typical asian skin problems and I've been meaning to try out the Oil Cleansing Methods, but haven't found the time to yet. Plus castor oil is seriously hard to find in the UK. Some people swear by it though.

I have oily to combination skin but I've had patches of scaly, dry skin lately and despite drinking more water etc.etc. it only started to go away after my dermatologist prescribed a cream for me. You might want to get your skin checked by a professional.

  19. @Alexandra – tonic water, free skin…noted! thanks :)

@glitteryeyesxx – yeah i've been meaning to try out some drugstore products because clinique has been rather disappointing. and i don't think there's bare essentials here in vienna? i'll check though. thanks a lot!

@Crystal – Castor oil…will keep that in mind, thanks :)

@Milana – haha danke, sehr lieb von dir <3

    @janet – thank you :)

@Lyana – i've been using a prescribed cream on/off as well, but it doesn't do much for me :/ i'll see how it goes after a week though! thanks 😀

Skin problems stink. I have them and aren't they annoying?! My advice would be try lots of moisturizers and find the one that works best for you. I prefer anything Clinique. They are really focused on individual skin problems and can really help you find something that fits your specific problem. One of my problems is I forget to use skin products because I'm constantly on the go. So just remembering to use the products makes all the difference. Hope that helps; I'm no professional, but I've had my share of skin problems.

    xxL

    PS your outfit is amazing

  28. LOVE the bag! Whenever I'm having a bad skin week I just go get a facial/diamond peel (to remove dead skin cells and reduce pores), I feel super refreshed and it really helps clear up the skin 😉

  31. Hello:]

your skin looks fine in these photos-just so you know!
but I do have a few tips that may come in handy!first you have to figure out if your skin is simply dry or if its just dehydrated…dry needs oil whether acne prone or not, while dry skin absolutely can not go without moisturizer! if your unsure, choosing moisturizer would be safe.
And for extra moisturizing-you could try a serum like cliniques skin tone corrector in the 3-step set.
as for something natural that helps with all of the problems you seem to be having, exfoliation!because of the wheather, your dry skin can be the cause of the acne + uneven skin tone. What I do is mix a teaspoon of regular sugar in with my cleanser (I use cetaphil) twice a week, and when I'm feeling rather dry I do an oatmeal mask consisting of just rolled oats, honey (natural humectant),and warm water mixed into a paste;put it all over my face until its tight, then wash it off followed by a non drying astringent like witch hazel, and moisturizer.

hopefully that helps some!but do not stress out about it too much!stress causes acne.you'll be fine I'm sure.Good luck!:)

I had incredibly dry skin over the passed year, so I started using Origins Ultra-Rich Rejuvenating moisturiser and it is amazing. After using for only about 3 days my skin was no longer dry ^^ and I'm still using it to this day. http://bit.ly/guqcmn
I highly recommend you try it out! It should hydrate your skin in no time :) good luck~

    i love your sweater!
ha i'll probably be a fellow asian hoarding la mer. i use H2O anti acne calming corrector for my skin and it's been working really well, unlike proactiv, etc. it doesn't dry out your skin and you can use it all over your face.

  48. Lovely sweater and pants, they look flatting with your skin tone. I have oily skin so I'm not sure, but it really doesn't show though.

    Have a lovely evening :)
