Take my breath away, Iceland

Reykjavik, Iceland, 2013. Photos by me.

A couple weeks ago, I went to Reykjavik, Iceland, with a group of friends. And it was one of the most beautiful experiences ever. The scenes we saw were stunning. Geysers spraying boiling water out of the natural earth, Gullfoss waterfall - which held so much presence, definitely the big boss at any nature conference - and Icelandic ponies trotting happily along the fluffy snow. It makes you take a step back and think, wow, this is nature and this is the world, and this is purely elemental. The best reality check you could ever imagine. Please go at some point, it's definitely worth the visit (and maybe you'll have more luck with seeing the Northern Lights than we did!)

  1. Was just there a few weeks ago as part of a weekend trip while studying abroad in London! Luckily got a chance to see the Northern Lights and they were absolutely breathtaking (as was all of Iceland). Well worth bathing in sulfur water the entire weekend..

  2. That does look breathtaking. If only I could stand the cold.
